BRIEF BACKGROUND
NEONP is
an independent, nonprofit professional organization whose
members are Nurse Practitioners (NPs). Most NPs are
nationally certified specialists in areas such as
cardiology, endocrinology, geriatrics, occupational health,
oncology and pediatrics, or are general practitioners in the
medical field.
NEONP members practice in a variety of settings, from rural
primary care to acute care tertiary sites, as teachers in
medical colleges, and in a variety of other healthcare
settings.
