Department Description. Detailed Description. If you have over 5 years of experience as an RN, you may qualify for our PTO bridge program. Ask your recruiter for details. Provides safe, efficient, age specific nurse practitioner level care to patients/families using nursing/medical interventions/modalities in order to assist them to attain, maintain, regain, and sustain optimal health status. Responsibilities for planning, coordinating, and evaluating patient services in the department. Essential duties include: Implements advanced assessment of patients' physical and psychosocial health/illness status and initiates care; Coordinates the implementation of the nursing process and practice to provide effective and efficient care to patients/families; Supervises and serves as a resource to other health professionals; Communicates and collaborates clearly and effectively to enhance patient care and facilitate unit operations; Demonstrates leadership in the practice of nursing to promote quality patient care. Initiates and maintains positive relationships with patients/customers. Initiates and maintains positive relationships with co-workers. Takes responsibility for self-development and supports a learning environment. Displays commitment to the mission of the hospital and its values.

Job Requirements. Demonstrated competence in family practice. Will consider pediatric NP with previous adult experience. Demonstrates strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Demonstrates a professional demeanor when responding to patients. Uses a wide variety of technical equipment to meet education and patient care needs, e.g.. stethoscope, cardio-respiratory monitor.

License/Certification Requirements. Current Ohio Nursing license; Nurse Practitioner Certification.

Educational Requirements. Nursing Doctorate or Master of Science in Nursing with Advanced Practice.

Clinician - Canton - Planned Parenthood of Northeast Ohio

Position Summary. The Clinician acts as part of the medical services team providing reproductive healthcare as outlined in PPNEO protocols for practice. Provide direct patient care including: history review, health education, physical exam, counseling, diagnosis and treatment according to protocols for 3-4 patient encounters per hour. Participates in accomplishing customer-focused goals and provides referrals and participates in follow-up. Consults with Lead Clinician to ensure compliances with guidelines and participates in Risk and Quality Management program, clinician meetings and other agency and center meetings as required.

Position Requirements. Requires education commensurate with Ohio statute licensure requirements for practice capacity (CNP, CNM). Must have current Ohio nursing license, COA and CTP or be eligible for CTP-externship. 2-3 years practice experience in Women's Health preferred. Consideration will be made for family or adult NP if there is a strong OB/GYN background.

Family Nurse Practitioner - FT, PT or Casual Part Time

The Take Care Nurse Practitioner (TCNP) believes in excellence and is passionate about providing outstanding patient care. The TCNP will be responsible for providing episodic care, screening and education for patients 18 months or older. Our professional clinics will be located within a community retail pharmacy and will be easily accessible to our patients and staffed 363 days a year. Position Qualifications:

  • Licensure requirements: Valid Advanced Practice State License issue by the State Board of Nursing. Valid Accreditation from the AANP or ANCC as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Valid Prescriptive Authority (per state practice requirements). Meet and maintain all legal requirements per state and national statutes to practice within state (for your market) as a Family Nurse Practitioner. CPR Certification.

  • Minimum of eight (8) months of Family Nurse Practitioner clinical experience.

  • Recent experience with pediatric patients (18 months and older).

  • Team oriented and passionate.

  • Enthusiastic in the delivery of compassionate, quality patient-centric care.

  • Excellent communication skills that will enable the Nurse Practitioner to provide an informed patient experience; promote quality care within the clinics, within our retail partner and within the community.

  • Basic business skills that will foster a pleasant patient experience from check-in through check-out (including cash collection, insurance information gathering through our electronic medical record (EMR) system.

  • Ability to complete training and utilize the TCH EMR and information systems.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.

  • Pleasant interpersonal demeanor and ability to work with all levels of associates and leadership.

Essential Functions:

  • Provide episodic care, screening and education to our Take Care Health patients.
